Free to build in. You pay when it goes live.
Installing the app, building experiments and previewing both arms on your own storefront costs nothing, for as long as you like. A plan buys the one thing that reaches your shoppers, which is also the only thing that produces numbers: putting an experiment live, and making its winner permanent.
Exactly two actions need a plan.
Everything else in the app is free and stays free. Pausing and stopping are deliberately never gated either, because a merchant whose plan has lapsed must still be able to switch a running experiment off.
Building is free
Install the app, configure as many experiments as you want, set the markets they run in, and preview both arms on your own storefront. No card, no clock. Nothing has reached a shopper yet, so there is nothing to measure either.
Then a 7-day trial
The first time you put an experiment live, a 7-day trial opens. Not at install, so it can't burn down while you are still setting up. During it: 1 experiment at a time, and no locking a winner in.
A plan buys activation
Unlimited experiments live at once, and the ability to redeem a winner into a permanent rule. A rule keeps running after the trial ends, which is why it is the part that is never free.
One product, two billing cadences.
Prices are in euros and exclude any VAT Shopify applies to your account. No setup fee, no usage charge, no per-order fee. The subscription is the whole cost.

On your first successful activation, meaning the moment you set an experiment to running and it passes its own checks. Not at install, and not on a half-finished attempt: a save that fails validation cannot burn a day. It is a one-off, so an expired trial does not restart later.
Run more than 1 experiment at a time, and redeem a winner into a permanent rule (or switch an existing rule back on). A rule keeps applying to every shopper after the trial is over, so it is deliberately the part you subscribe for. Everything else behaves exactly as it does on a plan.
The yearly plan costs €290 instead of twelve months at €29, so it saves you two months if you expect to keep testing for a year. If you are running one experiment to settle one question, take the monthly plan and cancel afterwards.
Shopify, through the Shopify Billing API, on your regular Shopify invoice next to your other app charges. We never see or store your payment details, and we cannot charge you outside that channel.
You keep access to the app, your data and your results, and you can still pause or stop anything that is running. We never lock a merchant out of their own checkout. What you cannot do without a plan is start something new or make a winner permanent. The billing check also fails open: if Shopify is unreachable, you keep access rather than losing it to a hiccup.
Prices are shown excluding VAT. Shopify handles tax on app charges based on your store's billing country, so what appears on your Shopify invoice is the authoritative amount.
No. A plan covers an unlimited number of experiments and rules live at once, and an unlimited number of checkouts and orders measured. There is no usage component to the price.
Cancelling keeps the results you have already collected, so subscribe again and they are still there. Uninstalling removes the app from your checkout and Shopify sends us an erasure request 48 hours later, after which everything belonging to your shop is gone. Settings also has a Delete all data button if you want it immediately. See retention and deletion.
Build the experiment first. Decide about paying later.
Install the app, switch on the theme app embed, and configure your first experiment for free. The clock only starts when you put it live.
